Abstract: This study assesses the potential economic impacts of unconventional hydrocarbon investment projects in two European countries: Poland and Germany. The analysis carries out a profitability assessment of the investments, the potential job creation in the region where the activity takes place and the public finance in terms of royalties paid to the local and national governments.
