Abstract: The Black Sea has been an object of exploration and intensescientific research for a long period of time. Its unique hydrographic structure having a permanent strong density stratification, resulted in the creation of the largest anoxic water body in the world. In this report the setup, different tests and the validation of a new 3D physical model for the coupled Black Sea -Azov Sea system is described.
