|Abstract:||The concept of AcadeMiC originated in 2002 at IRMM-EC-JRC. Its vision was to foster the advancement of education in chemical metrology and related topics, to teach students generic measurements issues that are addressed in ISO/IEC 17025. The 'Rogaska Declaration' was composed in response to conclusions reached at the 1st AcadeMiC Summer School for "Metrology in Chemistry", held in Rogaska Slatina. The intention is to have this declaration signed by summer school participants, as well as by important EU stakeholder organizations, so the importance of education in this field would be stressed and university lecturers could use it to support and justify courses in this field.|
