|Type:||Articles in periodicals and books|
|Abstract:||This is a book on the evolution of the energy-environment system towards an economy of low energy consumption. Taking into account the Earth system dynamics and the non-linear behaviour of the energy-economy system, the authors examine current and future energy scenarios taking into account the necessary transition from carbon and nuclear energy to clean and renewable sources as well as the demand-side management. The book was used as the basic textbook for the 8th Summer Ecological University organised in Nisyros, Greece in July 2006.|
