|Abstract:||The ELSA laboratory is equipped with a large reaction-wall facility and has acquired its best expertise on the development and implementation of innovative experimental techniques mainly related to testing large-scale specimens by means of the pseudo-dynamic method. Relevant achievements within the testing techniques, such as the continuous pseudo-dynamic test, the implementation of monolithic or distributed substructuring and the development of active control systems, have been obtained thanks to an accurate, home-designed, control system. Its role of reference laboratory in Europe has allowed ELSA to benefit from the collaboration of many prominent research institutions within international projects, providing the maximum sci-entific added value to the results of the tests.|
