|Abstract:||Image information mining is being reviewed at the JRC as a potential component in an end-to-end production chain for rapid mapping applications. The focus is on applications requiring high-resolution and very high-resolution image data. We will discuss experiences based on an evaluation study and address critical issues, e.g. the handling of complex information content present in VHR data and semantic user requirements.|
