|Abstract:||A protocol for winter wheat whole grain protein extraction compatible with the two dimensional fluorescence difference gel elecrophoresis (2D DIGE) technique was set up and applied on an in-house prepared winter wheat standard. The extract quality was verified by performing traditional 2D gel electrophoresis and 2D DIGE. Three 2D DIGE were produced resulting in 2500 protein spots with good match quality value confirming the ability of the set up protocol and superiority on the technique over the traditional approach.|
