|Abstract:||ICP-OES is considered a working horse for inorganic analysis in many analytical laboratories worldwide since decades. Besides the well established quantification of elemental concentrations in all major matrices, ICP-OES also provides the potential to determine the various isotopes of a single element such as Pb, Pu and U. Similar to a finger print, this approach of isotopic analysis that is not well recognised, delivers a characteristic isotope pattern which allows to trace the origin or the intended use of a specimen.|
