Abstract: The colourless complex catena-(tris((μ2-trifluoromethanesulfonato-O,O')-(acetonitrile-N))-\ praeseodym(iii)) crystallizes in the triclinic elemetary cell. The three triflate anions bridge via oxygen coordination between two Pr atoms leading to a solid state structure with chains of the type [Pr(NCMe)3-μ2(OTf)3—Pr(NCMe)3- μ2(OTf)3]n with the central metal atom in nine fold coordination of 6 O and 3 N atoms.
