	abstract = {Generation adequacy is a key tool to assess security of supply in an electrical system. In Europe, the integration of high amount of variable generation, demand response, storage, distributed generation, the increase of interconnection capacities and the electricity markets coupling, motivate a need for a revision of how adequacy is assessed. This work presents a review of some European Member States, regions and ENTSO-E’s pan-European methodologies to highlight the latest developments and current trends.
