Technical issues include orienting research towards the interoperability of services rather than just data, including issues of performance, trustworthiness, methodological rigour, and satisficing fit with user requirements. Socio-economic research issues need to focus in particular on the impact of such new services on regional economics, including issues of location, innovation, and competitiveness, which are currently under-researched. }, title = {SDI: from Spatial Data to Service-Driven Infrastructure}, url = {}, volume = {}, number = {}, journal = {}, pages = {}, issn = {}, publisher = {DG Joint Research Centre, Institute for Environment and Sustainability}, doi = {} }
