	abstract = {The idea of AcadeMiC (Academic Metrology in Chemistry) originated in 2002 at the EC-JRC-IRMM in Geel, to foster the advancement of education in Metrology in Chemistry and related topics to teach students generic measurement issues that are addressed in the ISO/IEC-17025. The implementation of this idea requires a forum, where people and organizations lecturing/training in these topics meet, share experience and develops a common curriculum in order to ensure the same level of knowledge throughout Europe. The 'Roga?ka Declaration' was established as a consequence of the 1st AcadeMiC Summer School for "Metrology in Chemistry", in 2005 Roga?ka Slatina (Slovenia).
