	abstract = {The monograph 'La contribución de la telefonía móvil: presente y futuro' is made up of two articles.  The first article, produced by OVUM, describes the present economic contribution made by mobile telephone services to the economy of the EU.  The second article, to which this publication number belongs, summarises a report on a study carried out by SCF Associates Plc. on behalf of the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies. The study consisted of a foresight exercise on future wireless electronic communication services in the European Union, highlighting potential usage patterns, service characteristics, and traffic volume.
