This first tool version is coupled to the data acquisition and surveillance system of the PERLA Plutonium storage laboratory at the EC Joint Research Centre of Ispra (Italy). The aim of Perla3D is to demonstrate that the 3D virtual visualization could significantly improve and ease the review work of Nuclear Safeguards inspectors, but that it also would permit to remotely carry out routine inspection activities from the headquarters of a Nuclear Safeguards agency like the EURATOM or the IAEA. Other potential applications of this tool, as inspectors training and vulnerability assessment, are also discussed in this paper. }, title = {Perla3D: a Nuclear Safeguards Virtual Reality Tool for Reviewing or Remotely Monitoring Real-Time Radiation Detectors Information}, url = {}, volume = {}, number = {}, journal = {}, pages = {179-182}, issn = {}, publisher = {Laval Virtual}, doi = {} }
