Abstract: This report presents the generalization of the pinball-based contact-impact model (PINB) of the EUROPLEXUS code for use in conjunction with mesh adaptivity, i.e. with adaptive mesh refinement and un-refinement. The interaction of the pinball model with the mechanism of element failure and erosion is also revised.
