Abstract: | Nanomechanical monitoring of different poration mechanisms in phospholipid bilayers mediated by host defense peptides is reported. Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation monitoring used to probe the process of antimicrobial poration offers a straightforward method for mechanically differential kinetic measurements of membrane-mediated antimicrobial effects in situ. |
