Formulation and Implementation of the VPJC Material Model in EUROPLEXUS

The report describes the formulation and implementation of the FORTRAN subroutine VPJC in EUROPLEXUS (abbreviated as EPX in the following). This is an elastic-thermoviscoplastic material model using the von Mises yield criterion, associated flow rule and a modified Johnson-Cook relation for the flow stress. EPX is a Finite Element code for the numerical simulation of fast transient dynamic events is fluid-structure system jointly developed by the French Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives (CEA Saclay) and by the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (JRC Ispra). The subroutine is part of the FORTRAN90 module M_MATERIAL_VPJC.
