Abstract: The report describes the formulation and implementation of the FORTRAN subroutine VPJC in EUROPLEXUS (abbreviated as EPX in the following). This is an elastic-thermoviscoplastic material model using the von Mises yield criterion, associated flow rule and a modified Johnson-Cook relation for the flow stress. EPX is a Finite Element code for the numerical simulation of fast transient dynamic events is fluid-structure system jointly developed by the French Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives (CEA Saclay) and by the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (JRC Ispra). The subroutine is part of the FORTRAN90 module M_MATERIAL_VPJC.
