LULUCF contribution to the 2030 EU climate and energy policy
The analysis carried out in the present AA LULUCF 2030 (i) supports DG CLIMA on the implementation the EU LULUCF Decision 529/2013 (especially with regard to carbon stock changes in CM and GM) and (i) contributes to specific elements of the Impact Assessment associated to a legislative proposal on the inclusion of the land use sector in the 2030 EU climate and energy policy. This publication is a Science for Policy report by the Joint Research Centre, the European Commission’s in-house science service. It aims to provide evidence-based scientific support to the European policy-making process. The scientific output expressed does not imply a policy position of the European Commission.
