EU corporate R&D intensity gap: Structural features calls for a better understanding of industrial dynamics
Corporate Research and Development (R&D) is a driver for innovation, competitiveness and job creation. However, trends do not suggest the achievement of the EU-policy 3% target in R&D intensity. To succeed, the EU would need an industrial structural and demographic change via business creation and transformation and its sustained R&D-led growth.
