This paper aims at keeping the memory of disasters alive, assuming that risk awareness and implementation of safety measures are facilitated by knowing short stories of cases. This strategy is shared by many such as the Loss Prevention Bulletin or some pioneers in the chemical industry like Trevor Kletz. Indeed, the ammonium nitrate fertilizer industry has generated several accidents and few disasters which should be recalled from time to time, beyond the regulation and practices changes they triggered.
