N,N,N-tris(diphenylphosphorylmethyl)amine
The structure of N,N,N-tris(diphenylphosphorylmethyl)amine, C39H36NO3P3, at 103 K has monoclinic (P21/c) symmetry. Two entities with threefold molecular symmetry crystallize in the independent part of the monoclinic elementary cell not reflecting the threefold axis. The molecule acts as ligand for the stabilization of metal ions with flexible coordionation enabling three- or fourfold coordination.
