European Member States' strategies for the deployment of a hydrogen refuelling infrastructure
Per Article 3 of the Directive on the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure (2014/94/EU), the Member States had to notify the European Commission (by 18 November 2016) on their National Policy Frameworks (NPFs). The European Commission has assessed the different NPFs including the fulfilment of the different requirements in the Directive. In the present work, the involvement of Member States in hydrogen deployment is summarized. The supporting actions proposed or already adopted by the Member States to achieve the national targets and objectives have been evaluated. Some conclusions and recommendations are suggested.
