Data sets of EO Essential Climate Variables

This note documents the fulfillment of Deliverable 201704 of the EOSS project (D.2), “Data sets of EO essential climate variables”, as Datasets (cat. 3.7). It is intended as a brief description of the data sets related to ocean color remote sensing associated with the EOSS project (D.2), including the data source, variables stored and the file organization and naming. It focuses on the satellite missions (SeaWiFS, MODIS, MERIS, VIIRS) that are the main sources of data for this archive, and is restricted to the primary remote sensing products (i.e., it does not consider higher level products).
