The specimens at ELSA are typically full-scale models of buildings or other constructions, which are tested in order to assess their structural performance under actions such as earthquakes. These measurements are highly useful for calibration of numerical models and validation of design methods contributing to construction guidelines and standards.
The experimental results are grouped within more than 50 research projects some of which have public access. Inside of a project, the data is mainly organised in specimens and experiments that include the measured signals as well as many other data items, such as descriptions, drawings, photos, documents, etc.
