Dataset collection: Research on Innovation, Start-up Europe and Standardisation

Building on the work and expertise gathered within the EURPIDIS project, the Joint Research Centre continues to support the Directorate General CONNECT in the domain of digital innovation and start-ups. Within the Research on Innovation, Start-up Europe and Standardisation (RISES) project, JRC will provide evidence-based support to the policies of CONNECT in three areas: - innovation with the focus on maximising the innovation output of EC funded research projects, notably building on the Innovation Radar under H2020; - start-ups and scale-ups – providing support to Start-up Europe; and - standardisation and IPR policy aims under the Digital Single Market priorities. This dataset collection includes, among others, the first release of the European Index of Digital Entrepreneurship Systems (EIDES). The EIDES addresses the measurement challenge by appraising the framework and systemic conditions for 1. stand-up, 2. start-up, and 3. scale-up activities in the EU28 countries.
