Production and Supply of alpha-Particle–Emitting Radionuclides for Targeted alpha-Therapy
Encouraging results from targeted alpha-therapy have received significant attention from academia and industry. However, the limited availability of suitable radionuclides has hampered widespread translation and application. In the present review,we discuss themost promising candidates for clinical application and the state of the art of their production and supply. In this review, along with 2 forthcoming reviews on chelation and clinical application of alpha-emitting radionuclides, The Journal of Nuclear Medicine will provide a comprehensive assessment of the field.
