The EU MIMF is intended to play a role as a first, but comprehensive, attempt to establish a 'common language' and a common framework for monitoring and analysing inequalities in the EU. It is a framework that will also help broaden and deepen the scope of frameworks monitoring progress towards a more cohesive and social Europe, such as the Social Scoreboard for the European Pillars of Social Rights.
This infographic presents some of the key messages and findings stemming from the research undertaken during the pilot research project, which are discussed at length in the JRC science for policy report 'A multidimensional inequality monitoring framework for the European Union' (JRC123911).
