Weather conditions sustain positive yield outlook
Favourable weather conditions since the start to the season have led to a positive yield outlook for winter cereals in most parts of Russia. The persistent rain deficit followed by a thermal stress in June is expected to have slightly negatively affected the yields in the Siberian okrug and in southern parts of European Russia. Due to the positive yield outlook combined with the increased area of winter wheat, overall, a rew record-high production of soft wheat is expected.
