This volume examines the impact of COVID-19 related school closures on learning losses as well as the effectiveness of country measures utilised to help pupils “catch up” within the following nations: England, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, and Hungary. Overall, this edited volume provides a critical analysis of the relative effectiveness of policies enacted in response to the global pandemic – particularly in relation to more vulnerable socioeconomically disadvantaged student populations.
