User guide for the "Member States - Consumption footprint Tool"

cover
A tool for Member States to calculate their consumption footprint with national data
The Joint Research Centre of the European Commission has developed a tool to allow Member States to customize the calculation of the Consumption Footprint indicators: the “Member States – Consumption footprint Tool”. The Consumption Footprint tool allows stakeholders to calculate the Consumption Footprint at country level by introducing their own national data (e.g. local statistics, consumer surveys, etc.) and by providing an interactive platform where the results of the consumption footprint using those other data sources can be tested. This report is the user guide to facilitate the use of the tool, entailing: — The presentation of the different sections of the Member States – Consumption footprint Tool (Section 2) — The step by step procedure to test alternative data sources at country level (Section 2.5), including specific guide to ensure alignment in relation to scope and metrics of the data to be used in the tool (Section 2.5.2) — Frequently Asked Questions regarding the tool and the underpinning methodology (Section 3)
