A snapshot of Photovoltaics in 2022

The articles in this special issue represent a unique collection of the latest progress reported at the 2022 EU PVSEC conference (which was also the 8th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion, WCPEC-8) and highlight important developments in a broad range of areas. It is to be noted that the partnership with Solar RRL covers a subset of the topic areas, and a complementary selection of highlighted papers is included in a special issue of Progress in Photovoltaics. As well as individually demonstrating the state of the art in its own field, the selected articles taken together provide a valuable insight into the current areas of focus within the photovoltaics research community.
