In silico design and preliminary evaluation of RT-PCR assays for A(H5N1) bird flu surveillance
Cases of A/H5N1 virus in dairy cattle in the US have been reported in the last two months. Here we present two nucleic acid-based detection methods developed to reveal A/H5N1 presence. The methods have been tested in silico and on a real sample from infected red fox.
