Analytical report
This report presents findings from a study conducted by Technopolis Group and 3S on behalf of the European Commission, focusing on the uptake and implementation of the GreenComp framework across various educational settings. GreenComp, developed by the European Commission, serves as a reference guide aimed at fostering competences to address sustainability and environmental challenges. Through a combination of desk research, expert interviews, an online survey, and stakeholder consultations, the study explores motivations for using GreenComp, the process of its application, and initial results.
Twelve in-depth case studies highlight diverse implementation modes, activities, enabling factors, challenges, and transferability aspects. Recommendations for future developments and adaptation of GreenComp emphasize practical translation, enhanced dissemination, support through use cases and Communities of Practice, and the maintenance of its dynamic nature. These recommendations aim to facilitate the widespread adoption and effective utilization of GreenComp to promote sustainability competences in diverse educational contexts.
