Addressing root causes of irregular migration and forced displacement. What works and what does not? Lessons learned from the EUTF in HoA
This study looks at the European Union Emergency Trust Fund for Africa (EUTF for Africa) interventions in the Horn of Africa region. Through a comprehensive analysis of a selected number of EUTF projects and expert consultations, this research identifies effective intervention types and lessons learned in promoting access to employment and livelihoods, conflict prevention and social cohesion, and better migration governance. The study's findings aim to inform future programming under the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument (NDICI) and support the legacy of EUTF operations in the region.
