cover
With its potential to provide a clean, abundant, and cost-competitive source of electricity, wind power is playing an increasingly important role in powering homes, industries, and transportation systems. To support the growth of the wind energy sector and enhance the competitiveness of the EU, a robust and resilient supply chain is essential. The wind energy technology supply chain is an intricate system that involves the coordination of multiple stakeholders, including turbine manufacturers, component suppliers, logistics providers, and installation contractors. This report provides an analysis of the challenges and benefits of mapping the supply chain, highlighting the availability of data sources and the knowledge gaps which must be addressed.
