Este es el segundo informe anual sobre incendios forestales en Latinoamérica publicado por el Centro Común de Investigación (JRC/ Joint Research Center) de la Comisión Europea y el Grupo de Expertos sobre Fuegos Forestales en Latinoamérica y el Caribe (GEFF LAC). El presente informe analiza la situación de los incendios en América del Sur y México durante el año 2024. Para cada país, se proporciona dos informes nacionales, uno elaborado por los expertos del GEFF LAC en el país, y un segundo obtenido a partir de las estadísticas disponibles en el Sistema Global de Incendios Forestales (GWIS/ Global Wildfire Information System). El presente informe incluye la descripción de las actividades sobre la gestión de incendios y las estadísticas disponibles para el año 2024 en Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, México, Paraguay, Perú, Surinam y Uruguay.
[This is the second annual report on forest fires in Latin America published by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission and the Group of Experts on Forest Fires in Latin America and the Caribbean (GEFF LAC). This report analyses the fire situation in South America and Mexico during 2024.
