Co-Creation spaces for citizen empowerment
The event "Co-creation spaces for citizen empowerment", held from 3rd to 5th November 2025 at the JRC Makerspace and Collaborative space, highlighted the importance of grassroots public spaces in fostering community engagement and social innovation. Key discussions focused on intergenerational collaboration, residence programmes, alternative learning environments, and community engagement. The event led to four policy recommendations for the European Commission to support projects developed in grassroots public spaces, recognise informal skills, promote collaboration, and evaluate impact.
