Supporting the provisions in Art. 10 (5) of Regulation (EU) 2023/1542
This report provides recommendations to support the development of performance and durability minimum requirements for light means of transport batteries, pursuant to Art. 10 of Regulation (EU) 2023/1542. The analysis identifies energy round-trip efficiency, capacity fade, and expected lifetime in cycles as suitable parameters for these requirements. Aiming for comparability and impartial threshold setting, the report formulates a requirement framework aligned with the testing procedures defined in prEN 50762-1. Furthermore, the report presents and evaluates relevant data to establish specific minimum values under this framework.
