The Climate Station (also known as the ClimSA Station) is a comprehensive software platform designed to make vital climate data accessible and actionable for decision-makers. Developed by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) under the intra-African, Caribbean, and Pacific (ACP) Climate Services and related applications (ClimSA) programme, it represents a primary deliverable for the initiative. Its main purpose within the programme is to strengthen climate-service value chains across ACP countries and provide the actionable knowledge necessary to support scientific policymaking and sustainable development. By combining regional and global climate data—such as vegetation health, water levels, rainfall, and temperature projections —the platform empowers National Meteorological Services and Regional Climate Centres to better anticipate, adapt to, and manage the impacts of climate change. Instead of requiring complex manual programming, the Climate Station provides an intuitive web-based interface that allows users to easily monitor changing environmental conditions. It includes features for viewing active data dashboards, generating custom map layouts, and analyzing long-term climate trends. Ultimately, this report details how the Climate Station fulfils a key role in the ClimSA programme by serving as a critical, user-friendly tool for regional capacity-building, helping nations turn raw climate science into effective policies for environmental resilience.
