The INTDS is a not-for-profit, educational organization that encourages the sharing of techniques developed, or being developed, to provide research-quality targets and reference samples, mostly for basic research in physics, chemistry, and related sciences. Information sharing is done through conferences or via newsletters to which target preparation laboratories worldwide contribute. In the 2025 Volume of this newsletter, we outlined the core activities of the JRC-Geel Target Preparation Laboratory. This update highlights a key development: the implementation of electron-beam (e-beam) physical vapour deposition (PVD) for the fabrication of ²³⁵U targets, important for nuclear data experiments.
