A spatial assessment of the state of soil degradation in the EU
The Soil Degradation Dashboard developed by the EU Soil Observatory (EUSO) provides the first ever EU-wide assessment of the location and the intensity of relevant soil degradation processes.
‣ The Dashboard integrates nineteen EU-wide soil degradation indicators based on the latest state-of-the art scientific knowledge.
‣ Based on these indicators, the Dashboard shows that ca 62% of EU soils are degraded.
‣ The Dashboard provides a comprehensive and easy-to-understand overview of the current state of soil degradation in the EU.
