This policy brief summarises evidence from a JRC systematic literature review on digital engagement and academic performance, conducted under the *Measuring the Impact of Social Media on Adolescent Well-being* (MISMAW) administrative agreement with DG EAC. Drawing on longitudinal and experimental studies, it synthesises the current evidence on how digital engagement influences academic performance and highlights the main policy implications.
