Uncertainty Assessment in the Analysis of Alpha-Particle Spectra.
The variances and covariances of optimized peak fit parameters are used to determine the uncertainty attributed to the result of alpha-particle spectra analyses. The variance-covariance matrices are calculated for a convolution-type peak fitting function. An example is taken from the analyses of plutonium spectra used in the EUROMET project No. 325.
