The Advance of Burnt Areas in Central Africa as Detected by ERS-1 ATSR-1.
Alon track scanning radiometer data has been examined for monitoring borut surfaces in Central Africa. The research shows that to ATSR-1 has good capabilities for detecting borut areas in the tropics and can be a useful tool for estimating emissions from savannah fires.
