The EU and the Mediterranean Region : a Future Dilemma?

This article looks at the Mediterranean region and its development and trade patterns. It argues that the differences between the EU and the Mediterranean littoral may jeopardize the success of the institutions being created (such as the Euro-Mediterranean Free Trade Area to be completed by 2010).
