CFD Modelling of Gas-Transport and Mixing Phenomena in the Batelle Experimental Facility for Nuclear Safety Applications
This paper describes the results of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis of jet release, dispersion and mixing phenomena of light gases in nuclear environments for safety applications. A validation exercise with three CFD codes (CFX4, CFX5.7 and CD-ACE) was performed against experimental data of a test in the Batelle Model Containment facility.
