Abstract: This paper describes the results of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis of jet release, dispersion and mixing phenomena of light gases in nuclear environments for safety applications. A validation exercise with three CFD codes (CFX4, CFX5.7 and CD-ACE) was performed against experimental data of a test in the Batelle Model Containment facility.
