The equipment for COMPUCEA, a measurement technique for combined uranium element and 235U enrichment assay, has been re-designed with the goal of simplifying in-field applications. Specifically, radioactive sources and detectors requiring cooling with liquid nitrogen have been eliminated from the existing COMPUCEA equipment without sacrifice of measurement performance. The revised measurement approach and instrumentation is described in this paper.
