The whole infrastructure of hydrogen production, transport, storage, distribution and final comsumption has to be monitored by means of adequate gas sensors. Several types are available both for safety monitoring and fuel delivery control at fuel cells and combustion engines, and their performances need to be assessed experimentally. The paper describes the facility developed at JRC-IE for this purpose.
