Oxygen Depletion Risk Indices - OXYRISK & PSA V2.0 - New Developments, Structure and Software Content
The 'OXYgen depletion RISK index' ('OXYRISK') is a bio-physical indicator representing the temporal and spatial distribution of potential hypoxia in shallow marine ecosystems. Version 2.0 of the OXYRISK program has been developed and is now available. The major improvements since V1.0 are the enlargement of modelled areas together with the addition of the inter-annual variability covering the period 1998 to 2003. The aim of this indicator development is to identify the major physical and biological processes which play a key role in the vulnerability to hypoxia when the organic matter production increases.
