Implementation of Safety Culture International Guidelines at a Research Reactor
Scope of the paper is to present the effort undertaken and the results achieved in adapting and implementing the IAEA Guidelines to the High Flux Reactor, HFR, in Petten, the Netherlands, as a step in supporting its Life Management Program. The methodology followed is that presented in the IAEA Technical Documents "Self-Assessment of safety culture in nuclear installations" and "Safety Culture in nuclear installations". The main objective is to determine the "safety culture level" of the organization. This serves for the definition of an improvement action plan and for tracking the effects of improvement over a longer period of time.
